How to Join Salekin Lab

If you are interested in conducting research to understand more about the concept, treatment and prevention of psychopathy, this may be the research opportunity for you. 

Graduate Students 
Dr. Salekin supervises graduate students in the Clinical Child program. We will be accepting application for one graduate student for the upcoming year.

Undergraduate Research Assistants (RAs)
Listed below are the activities RAs are involved in the lab:
  • Administer studies (e.,g., conducting interviews with youths at detention centres, assessment/testing)
  • Data administration (e.g., entering, coding data) 
  • Data analyses
  • Transcribing narrative interviews
  • Conduct library research
  • Further, there are opportunities for senior undergraduate RAs to coordinate projects, complete their Hono​rs theses, and co-author conference posters. 

To apply, you need to: 
  • Be responsible, motivated and timely in work deliverance
  • Be a team player as well as have the ability to work independently
  • Have a GPA of at least 3.4
  • Be able to commit 6 hours a week for at least one semester
